Mozilla just admitted that it's not the right thing to have a EULA, so they're looking for other ways

Osnap? But I thought Canonical was all for sticking that EULA in your face.

No it works fine on OpenSuse 11, I think its even faster in some ways. But I use Opera for now its faster and it looks better and its built on Qt so I can take full power out of it  grin

Do you use Ubuntu or Kubuntu? If you use Kubuntu you might be able to speed it up with Mozilla and Nokias Qt based Firefox, as Firefox are built around GTK framwork like Gnome while KDE are built around the much better  Qt framework   cool so if you have Kubuntu much resources would be wasted to run both GTK and Qt  cheesy

You might as well say that Trolltech (QT makers) are doing it, because Nokia just acquired Trolltech (and QT).

Firefox is built on the quite nice Cairo graphics layer (At least Fx3). The QT port just adds a QT wrapper for the Cairo renderer implementation.

I know, But Trolltech are soon fully integrated with Nokia Services & Software, and its quite long time ago since they acquired Trolltech in January/February  cheesy. And when its not a real Subsidiary like Nokia Siemens Networks, Navteq, Vertu its Nokia who has ported it.  cheesy

GTK 2 are built around Cairo  grin
