Actually i didn't understand how does this thing work . What are the types of file that wecan upload and why they pay us when somebody downloads it , i think there will be charges for download right.

how does it pay ... is there any proof for ur earnings. If yes please upload it.

ads on downloads page? so more people, more money for them so they can pay you a small cut of it.

Well the good thing about it is that you can upload all sorts of files like: .mp3 or zips and many more.
Like GT777 said, they get money from advertisers and when people view the ads that are on the site they get paid from the advertisers and they share some of the money with you.
They pay with either EPESE, Epassporte, WebMoney, PayPal, MoneyBookers. ( Your Choice )
To tell you the truth i have not been paid by them yet, because i only signed up with them a couple of days ago but a lot of friends of mine have been paid and i will try to get you some payment proof from one of them if you want.
