I started this site so that I could post power points used in and created in my classroom.  Why am I constantly told that that file type is not allowed?  I have a friend with a site here who has been uploading power points for years.  How can I resolve this problem?

You could always zip the powerpoint presentations, it will take less space and be faster to transfer.

It's a protection against those who create accounts just to host files, which is not allowed according to the ToS. You'll have to upgrade your account and pay for more file extensions.

You'll have to wait some time, it's not as fast as you think. Support people are always very busy.

Oh, and by the way, you'll receive an email when it gets activated.

Thank you!

Will I no longer get the red "file not allowed" warning?

Just to echo, you can upload .ppt files on the free account without any upgrades (depending on the file size) so you may have a separate issue.
