When visiting my site visitors do not see my site, instead they are taken to http://www.goldencasino.com/?c=65183&s=12 !!!  My site is NOT a gambling site, nor do I endorse gambling or want my visitors seeing this rubbish instead of my site!

Ok, so I know there are probs with the servers but what the hell?  I read in another forum post that when visitors visit a site that is on a bad server they are meant to see a page explaining the fault (like this: http://www.110mb.com/box12-crash.html ).

If it helps, I checked at the 110mb domain doctor ( http://www.110mb.com/check_your_site.php ) and it told me that my site is on box12.110mb.com  ...and also, my website can be found at: www.mrdmg.100mb.com

I'd love to know when this is gonna be fixed and why my site is displaying some dodgy gambling site... I'd rather a 404 Error message or whatever.

Darren.

You are getting a HTTP 404 (link not found error) that is re-directing you to the current 110mb 404 error page that is currently http://www.goldencasino.com.

So check your code and make sure that all references to links are valid.

Every link check program I run on your site gets re-directed to goldencasion right off the bat.

So what is the name of your index page (index.html or index.php)?

I'm getting the same redirect. All my links worked fine until this morning and yes I am on box 15 but I didn't expect to run into problems just a few days after opening an account. I can't even log into the control panel. Also, why would a 404 error lead to a Gambling site?
I think I'll cough up the cash for a more reliable host.

if you're serious about your site, do what I did and pay for .htaccess, that way you can have custom site error messages.  It's a one time fee of $7.  http://www.110mb.com/upgrade-free-plan.php

For all of people that are on BOX 15 please read this note at the very top of the forum page

Quote
Box15 is up. All accounts on B15 registered before 28 Aug are gone. Please register it again and reupload your files. We're now restoring data/DBs from broken Hard drive and will restore data of all accounts by 5th Sept (it's takes a while to restore.). Restoration success probability: 70%. Main thread:

This the most likely reason that you are getting re-directed to the Gambling site because your site does not exist any more.

So follow the instructions above to restore your site.

Where the heck did I get it from?

« Reply #8 on: August 29, 2008, 04:01:27 AM »

Basically you have three options.

1. Fix your website links! That's the main reason causing the gambling page to appear.
2. Wait for your box to be up again if it's down right now.
3. Pay for an upgrade called "Turn ON .htaccess Support" (as described by codewhite above).

What do these options mean?
Code:
<?php
// Troubleshooting tips
if ($homepage_shows_gamblingsite) {
  if (
$box_that_account_is_on.status == "down") {
    if (
$account_has_homepage) {

// Then probably your box is down

option(2);
    } else if (
$account_has_no_homepage) {

// Make a homepage at the root of your account

option(1);
    }
  } else (
$box_that_account_is_on.status == "up") {

// Make a homepage at the root of your account

option(1);
  }
} else if (
$homepage_doesnt_show_gamblingsite_but_another_webpage_shows_it) {

// Check links!!!

option(1);
}
?>

If all above fails, try option 3.

@mnbcelection: You don't have to be offended by this Casino Gambling site, it is not a slight towards you, many other people are also getting it
(Even I've seen one while testing my site wink)

@mrdmg: Just a random comment, your post at top of this thread has a wrong link, it should be mrdmg.110mb.com instead of mrdmg.100mb.com smiley

I had fun typing all this

"NOTICE: If you registered on box15 before 28th Aug, please see 110mb.com/forum news. Your account was lost and you need to create it again (but we'll restore all data by 5th Sept)."

Luckily it isn't vitally important that my site is up right now and i can just take down any links i've put on my other sites - does this mean if I just leave it til 5th september my account will be back up and all fine again without having to bother doing anything? Im going to bestival so im not even goin to have internet access again til the 8th or 9th

Cheers,
Rich

The site you are forwarded to is the 110mb Advertising partner, it means the page you tried does not exist, or error.

Fix broken links, or purchase the HTACCESS upgrade to have your own 404 and error pages.

What page showed you that? Some ISPs (Although very few) do block 110mb, however, it may be that your ISP blocked Golden Casino.

Arabic? Seems like you are in Middle East, and the 404 error page  - Golden Casino - will definitely be blocked.

So what is the name of your index page (index.html or index.php)?

My index page is index.html but by the sound of it my page no longer exists which sucks.  I'm thinking I'm gonna forget this place 'cos I don't want my site at a place that is supported by gambling... That's just me. It's a pitty though 'cos it is an easy to use site, very easy to upload my site, etc.

Thanks.

Yup I am in the middle east...so Hopefully i dont think that they blocked 110mb rite? they blocked golden casino?

On Topic: mrdmg i dont think this happens so often(although i am new i am not sure) till mid september i think things will be more stabilized... with no more registrations on box 15.........So If you could wait then i think things will be ok..

This issue is resolved.

...actually, no.  My site still goes to the golden casino site.  Though sometimes it loads some weird page titled 'H-SPHERE' (whatever that is) with a few weird links that don't seem to be of any use.

As far as first impressions go this place aint doin' itself much good. lol...  sad
